The day-to-day: By accurately and efficiently processing a wide range of account and loan transactions, the Commercial and Business Member Services Representative plays a key role in meeting the needs of commercial and business members. This includes but is not limited to opening and closing deposit and loan accounts, posting deposits, withdrawals, and payments, completing transfers, and maintaining a variety of business and commercial accounts. Precision and timeliness are emphasized in this role, ensuring exceptional service and achieving credit union goals.
Central to this position is the building of strong, lasting relationships with members. The Representative works closely with commercial lending, small business, and retail teams to support product development, identify opportunities for improvement, and strengthen member retention. Regular review of high-profile accounts by the Representative assists in ensuring consistent member engagement and satisfaction. By understanding each member’s financial goals, the Representative actively recommends solutions across products such as investments, insurance, mortgages, business lending, and consumer services.
The Representative will demonstrate daily commitment to professionalism and discretion, maintaining strict confidentiality, demonstrating sound judgment, and approaching all interactions with tact and respect. They will ensure compliance with credit union policies while promoting efficiency and excellence in service.
This role also supports community engagement, participating in outreach events to strengthen member relationships and highlight the credit union’s dedication to service. The Representative embodies the organization's values through respectful collaboration, continuous improvement, and a consistent focus on delivering an outstanding experience for all members.
We’re looking for:
- 18 months of Financial institution experience with prior loan experience and reaching service and performance goals
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Commercial lending and business services experience
- Working knowledge of business deposit and loan products, and commercial cash management experience.
- Proven ability to garner business.
- Demonstrated ability to operate office machines to include 10-key.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively listen, understand, and anticipate member needs.
- Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strongly preferred:
- Two years of Financial institution experience with prior loan experience and reaching service and performance goals
- Proven ability to generate business while participating in community business development
- Ability to solve problems
- Presentation skills and a self-starter
- Able to work efficiently in a dynamic setting, managing shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism under pressure.
