National EMS Week
May 21-27, 2023, is the 48th annual National EMS Week. In 1974, President Gerald Ford authorized EMS Week to celebrate EMS practitioners and the important work they do in our nation's communities.
This year's theme is EMS: Where Emergency Care Begins.
Ways to celebrate EMS Week:
Local businesses, restaurants or coffee shops can offer special discounts
Donate grab-and-go boxed lunches, healthy snacks or drinks
Put a "Happy EMS Week" sign up in your business window
Thank someone who works in EMS field in our community
Educate yourself and loved ones about safety
Use #NationalEMSWeek to share on social media
