SUMMARY:Ladies night out(doors) with Revel Treks and Tours
DESCRIPTION:When: Thursday\, March 7 at 5:30PM\n\n*This event repeats monthly on the first Thursday*\n\nWhere: Settlers Bay Coastal Trail (West Lot)\n\nNew in 2024\, event fees:\n\n\n \n Adventure Club members may attend this event as part of their 1 or 2 free\, monthly events. Learn about the club here.\n \n \n First-time attendees may attend this event for free. When you register please select "first-timer".\n \n \n All others guests\, $12 to join this monthly event. If you are interested in a scholarship\, please complete our short form here.\n \n\n\nAbout the walk and what to expect: We'll walk no more than 3 miles total along rolling terrain at a leisurely pace. Following our loop we will enjoy hot chocolate and tea at the main parking area.\n\nThe trails at Settlers Bay Coastal Park are part of 295 acres of land that were donated to the Mat Su Borough by the Greatland Trust as a conservation easement. The first formal trails started to be built in the summer 2019 with more trails being added over the next few years. The long term plan calls for easy gravel paths\, mountain bike single track\, and Americans with Disabilities Act compliant trails. The borough grooms these trails during the winter as snow conditions allow. \n\nCan I bring my pup? No. For this particular event we ask folks to leave pups behind. Thanks for understanding!\n\nCost: Please note participants are responsible for paying relevant parking fees. This is a Mat-Su Borough maintained lot.\n\nA couple other notes: If you need help finding the trailhead or want to contact Revel prior to the event\, please contact the team at 907-903-1664.\n\nWhat to bring: \n\n\n \n Bring warm layers\n \n \n Bring comfortable boots or shoes to walk in\n \n \n Bring a headlamp (we have extras you can borrow if needed!)\n \n \n Winter gear (hats\, mittens\, scarves)\n \n \n Rain gear or snow gear (as necessary)\n \n \n Water and snacks as desired.\n \n\n\nA note on flexibility: The nature of adventuring outside requires some flexibility. We do our best to follow the itinerary as outlined\, but we may need to shift plans for a variety of reasons. Safety is our priority and we use our best judgment when making trip adjustments.\n\nWeather: We rarely cancel due to inclement weather. Please bring gear to adventure in the elements. If you need to borrow something\, let us know! We have lots of extra supplies and are happy to loan items out if needed.\n\nIs Revel still hosting any free community hikes? Yes! We are offering quarterly\, free community hikes. We also have free events that have been made possible through partnership and sponsorships.
