DESCRIPTION:Assembly District 6 will be vacant starting January 17\, 2023.  The Assembly will appoint a person to fill the remainder of the seat until the next regular election\, which is November 2023.\n\nCandidate Qualifications:  A person is eligible to be an assembly member if the person is a qualified borough voter and has been a borough resident and a resident in the territory embraced within the assembly district for which they file for one year immediately prior to the appointment.\n\nDistrict 6 includes the North Palmer and North Wasilla areas including: Hatcher Pass\, Wasilla Fishhook\, Schrock\, and Memory Lake. If you are unsure if you reside in Assembly District 6\, please contact the Clerk's Office at the number below.\n\nFor the Assembly to consider you as a candidate to fill the vacancy in Assembly District 6\, you will need to fill out an application and return it to the Clerk's Office.
