Elena Shawback serves as Chief Executive Officer of Mat-Su Health Services, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to improving access to high-quality, affordable medical, dental, and behavioral health care across the Mat-Su Borough. With more than a decade of leadership experience within the organization, including 11 years as Chief Financial Officer, Elena brings a deep understanding of both healthcare operations and financial stewardship. Since stepping into the CEO role, Elena has focused on expanding access to care, strengthening community partnerships, and advancing innovative solutions to meet the region’s growing healthcare needs. A lifelong Alaskan, Elena is committed to serving her community and addressing the unique challenges of healthcare delivery in both urban and rural settings. She values collaboration and works closely with local, state, and federal partners to improve health outcomes across the region.
