Job Description:  We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager for Commercial Property & Casualty to join our team.  As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining client relationships, identifying insurance needs, recommending appropriate coverage solutions to protect our clients' businesses, and preserving positive carrier relationships.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record account rounding, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of commercial insurance products.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients managing their property, casualty, cyber liability and management liability needs on a daily operations and renewal basis.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.  Be actively responsive to client calls and emails.
  • Conduct thorough exposure and business analysis to understand clients' insurance needs and ensure they are obtaining adequate coverage with the ability to offer new lines of insurance suited for comprehensive coverage programs.
  • Coordinate strategic marketing approach of client accounts to insurance companies, analyze coverage options, negotiate optimal coverage terms and premium, and present insurance proposals tailored to clients' specific requirements.
  • Manage all accounting handling including but not limited to issuing auto identification cards and certificates of insurance, executing the renewal process, binding coverage, billing, policy review and delivery, mid-term coverage changes, endorsement processing, contract review for insurance requirements, and claims coordination.
  • Provide professional, courteous service to our clients, carrier representatives, underwriters and business partners.
  • Act as a liaison between client and insurance companies to support clients’ business growth and escalate complex service issues when policy interpretation or claims management is needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal team to deliver exceptional service and support to clients.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial insurance brokerage.
  • Active property & casualty insurance producer license in Alaska.
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation preferred.
  • Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation preferred.
  • Proficiency in Applied Epic software strongly preferred.
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Setting:  In office
Salary:  $55,000 to $70,000 depending on experience.
