In 1979\, he formed Ziggy Marley & The Melody Makers with siblings Stephen\, Sharon and Cedella. The group earned their first Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album with 1988's Conscious Party and went on to win two more Grammys during their nine-album\, 13-year run.\n\n\n\nMarley launched his solo career with Dragonfly in 2003 and has since earned six additional Grammy Awards\, a Daytime Emmy Award\, a UCLA George and Ira Gershwin Award for Lifetime Musical Achievement\, and induction into the International Reggae and World Music Awards Hall of Fame.
