DESCRIPTION:The City of Wasilla has partnered with the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) to provide rent and mortgage relief for Wasilla residents who have suffered economic hardship die to COVID-19.\n\nThe Wasilla Housing Relief Program will provide up to $1\,200 each month to eligible households in the City of Wasilla for months of September through December 2020.\n\nApplicants must reside within Wasilla city limits and household income at the time of application must be at or below $71\,760 (80% of the median income).\n\nResidents can apply by completing a questionnaire and certifying their loss of income was caused by COVID-19. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until housing relief funds have been exhausted - applications will be processed in the order in which they were received.\n\nIt may only be applied to your primary residence and is subject to certain income restrictions. After submission of the required information\, payment will be made to the landlord or mortgage servicer on behalf of the recipient.
