DESCRIPTION:The City of Wasilla 4th of July Parade will be held Friday\, July 4\, 2025\, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in downtown Wasilla! Come join us as we celebrate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence and the birth of our nation. This year's parade theme is Front Porch Freedom: Celebrating Local Traditions. \n\nParade day is shaping up to be a full day of fun\, family\, and community spirit and we can't wait to see you there!\n\nFRIENDLY REMINDER: There will be no fireworks displays for the City of Wasilla 4th of July events due to July typically being a high fire season \n\n Parade Safety Tips\n\nTo ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone\, please remember:\n\n Keep your family behind barricades and in designated safe areas.\n\n Stay on sidewalks or grassy areas and keep the parade route clear for floats and performers - especially around those turns!\n\n Do not block the fire station driveway - this area must stay open for emergency vehicles.\n\n First Aid & Reunification Station\n\nThe Red Cross will be providing a Basic First Aid Station from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the parking area at Central Mat-Su Fire Station 6-1\, 101 W. Swanson Avenue. This location will also serve as a reunification point for lost or missing persons.\n\n Lost & Found\n\nLost something? Head to the Q99.7 Emcee Station\, 291 E Swanson Avenue\, where lost and found items will be turned in. Take part in a hot dog eating contest\, enjoy good food\, great company\, and a warm welcome from your city leaders.\n\n Music in the Park - Wasilla's Favorite Free Summer Concert Series | 1:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m.\, Wonderland/Iditapark\, 594 W. Nelson Avenue\n\nHead on over for live music all afternoon!
