Their most recent studio album\, Showroom of Compassion (2011)\, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and was praised by The New Yorker for its "deadpan brilliance."\n\n\n\nAcross their catalog\, CAKE has produced numerous chart-topping alt-rock singles\, including "Never There\," which reached #1 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart\; "The Distance\," their breakthrough single\, which climbed to #4 on the Alternative Songs chart\; "Short Skirt/Long Jacket\," which peaked at #7 on the Alternative Airplay chart\; and "Sick of You\," which rose to #4 on Alternative Songs.\n\n\n\nIn addition to an active national touring schedule of shows and appearances\, CAKE is currently at work on their ninth album\, slated for release in fall 2025.
