SUMMARY:AKtive Soles Camp
DESCRIPTION:AKtive Camp 231 is a foundational training camp for high school runners. Campers will receive quality coaching in both mountain and trail running form\, technique\, and endurance by local high school cross country coaches Rhonda Knopp and Norm Rousey. Our coaches have a combined experience of over 40 years of coaching youth and adult runners. This camp will challenge our teen runners in skill\, endurance and fortitude as well as provide learning opportunities about the proper training\, fueling\, and safety involved in long distance and high altitude running. The camp will also provide opportunities for campers to get to know local trails and gain confidence running through the Alaskan wilderness.\n\n \n\nCampers will be receiving tips and training advice from local guest speakers and endurance athletes as well as participate in orienteering and wilderness safety activities.
