SUMMARY:1 Year Axeiversary Tournament at Last Frontier Axe Co.
DESCRIPTION:"We are celebrating our 1 Year Axeiversary with the first axe throwing tournament of the year!\n\nThis will be a sanctioned WATL Tier 5 Tournament (must meet minimum of 16 participants to qualify)\, following all WATL rules and regulations regarding match play. You will be able to earn circuit points towards the World Axe Throwing Championships.\n\nPlease sign up online or in person at the axe house. We ask that you include the names/emails of each person participating if more than one is registered at a time.\n\nThere will be no additional sign ups once the tournament begins. Space will be limited for spectators and priority will be given to tournament participants.\n\nOpen practice for all tournament participants will begin at 1pm\, with match play beginning promptly at 2pm. All rules governing match play and scoring will be in accordance with current WATL sanctioned league/ tournament rules. See WATL rules section on their website for further information.\n\nBracket will be a double elimination format\, with the Championship round consisting of a "Best 2 out of 3". Throwers that lose the first time will drop down to a "B" bracket\, where if they lose again will be eliminated. Winner of the "A" bracket will face off against the winner of the "B" bracket for the tournament Championship.\n\nFollowing the tournament and awards presentation\, there will be a BBQ catered by Expedition BBQ for all tournament participants and paying spectators.\n\n1st Place: $150\n\n2nd Place: $75\n\n3rd Place: $30\n\nAxes will be available for use and provided by the house\, if needed. Participants are allowed to bring their own axes but\, they must meet WATL criteria and be approved by a Last Frontier Axe Co. official.
